Summer analysts assist the firm’s partners in identifying qualifying investable businesses. These businesses are distinguished by durable competitive advantages, attractive long-term prospects, and leadership teams that demonstrate both skill and integrity. Analysts learn how to evaluate competitive dynamics, management teams, and company cultures across a range of industries. Through the summer program, we seek to identify individuals who would excel as full-time analysts upon graduation.
Primary qualifications include curiosity, intelligence, humility, evidence of enthusiasm for self-directed research, and pride in one’s work. Candidates should be comfortable writing concisely, working with figures, and clearly expressing insights and conclusions in person. Related work experience and/or coursework in finance is not required. Applicants should have an interest in drawing conclusions from financial statements, reading filings such as Form 10-K, and gathering information through discussions with industry sources.
Favored candidates will possess both distinct intellectual ability and a strong work ethic. Juniors and first-year MBA candidates are encouraged to apply.
