Timucuan is based in Jacksonville, Florida and was founded in 1988. Our approach focuses on investing in a limited number of long equity positions. We endeavor to preserve and grow capital over time by investing in businesses that are advantaged, well-managed, and undervalued. Our assets under management total $3.8 billion and consist primarily of long-tenured separately managed client accounts.

Our investment philosophy has not changed since our founding and is applied consistently to all managed capital. We emphasize deep primary research and our portfolios have historically included between 12 and 18 public holdings. Portfolio turnover is low and indicated by an average holding period of approximately five years. Timucuan has outperformed the market over its thirty-eight years.
